What is Composite Fabric
Composite fabric is a material made by bonding two or more different fabrics or layers together, often
combining textiles with films, foams, or membranes. This creates a single fabric with enhanced performance
and unique characteristics.
Composite Fabric naturally provides light-filtering performance, comparable to having a 90 gsm lining
(shading rate 60%-80%).

Mount Type Instructions
Inside Mount:
- Order Width = Actual Inside Window Width
- Order Height = Inside Window Height
- Recommended window frame depth: 2 inches
- Our factory will apply at least a 3/8" deduction from the total width. Please do not make any deductions on your end. This deduction applies to the headrail width, not the fabric width.
- lf the width has a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round it down to the nearest 1/8"
Outside Mount:
- No minimum depth requirement
- Ordered Width= Outside Headrail Width
- Please add 4 to 6 inches to the measured width of the sash to avoid light gaps
- For height, add 4 inches to the measurement
Roman/Bamboo Shade Measurement Guide
Inside Mount
*For Roman and Bamboo Shades, the fabric may be slightly wider than
the headrail for better light blocking.
Width
Measure the inside width of window frame at the top(A), middle(B), and bottom(C).
For Roman Shades / Bamboo Shades / Roller Shades / Zebra Shades,
Order Width
= Smallest measurement - 3/8 inch
For Cellular Shades and Venetian Shades, Order Width = Smallest
measurement - 1/4 inch
*You need to make the deduction
from the actual window width. Shades are made to your
ordered size!
Length
Measure the inside height of window frame at the left, middle, and right. Take the largest measurement
as your
order length.
*Round each measurement down to the nearest 1/8 inch when ordering.
Minimum Window Frame Depth Requirements:
2 ½ inches for Roman shades / Roller Shades / Cellular Shades;
2 ¾inches for Bamboo Shades;
3 inches for Zebra Shades / Venetian Blinds;
4 inches for Motorized Shades.
*The minimum flush inside mount depth required for Roller Shades is 4 inches.
Outside Mount
Width
Order Width = Measure from frame outer edge to edge + Left
extension + Right extension (recommend 2-3 inches on each side)
Length
Order Length = Measure from frame top outer edge to bottom edge +
Mount height above frame (recommend 10–12 inches)
*Round each measurement down to the nearest 1/8 inch when ordering.
*For proper outside mount, ensure the moulding depth allows the shade to lie flat against the wall.
Input Measurement Instructions
Width Fraction & Length Fraction
- When measuring your window, if the dimensions are not whole inches, the extra fraction should be expressed in eighths of an inch. Please refer to the image below for reference.

The measurement shown is 21 1/8“, then select “1/8” for Width eights/Height eights.
Similarly, if the measurement is in 1/16“ or 1/32” increments, round to the nearest 1/8”.
Stack Height:
When fully raised, the shades have a minimum stack height of 7 inches, though this may vary depending on
the style, size, and fabric.

- Inside Mount: For inside mount installations, order your shade 3/8 inch narrower than the window opening. This ensures the brackets and roller system fit securely within the frame.
- Outside Mount: For outside mount installations, extend the shade width 2 to 4 inches beyond the window frame on each side to fully cover the opening and prevent light gaps.

Your window frame needs at least 2.5 inches of depth to install the brackets and headrail. At this depth, the shade will function properly but may stick out slightly from the window frame when fully raised.
- Minimum Flush Inside Mount Depth: 4 inches
For a fully recessed look, your window frame should be at least 4 inches deep. This allows the entire headrail and rolled-up shade to sit completely inside the frame, flush with the wall.
- Inside Mount Deduction: 3/8 inch
Just measure the inside width of your window frame and give us that number. We'll automatically deduct 3/8 inch during production to ensure the shade fits inside the frame with proper clearance.
- Care:The lift mechanism behind the shade is pre-set at the factory. Do not attempt to open, adjust, or tamper with it yourself. Doing so may cause the shade to jam or fail, and will void your warranty. If you experience any issues, contact customer support.
