What is Composite Fabric
Composite fabric is a material made by bonding two or more different fabrics or layers together, often
combining textiles with films, foams, or membranes. This creates a single fabric with enhanced performance
and unique characteristics.
Composite Fabric naturally provides light-filtering performance, comparable to having a 90 gsm lining
(shading rate 60%-80%).
Why choose Composite Fabric
- Thicker material provides better insulation and temperature control.
- Neater and more structured appearance.
- Composite lining enhances light-blocking performance.
- More durable and long-lasting.

- Order Width = Actual Inside Window Width
- Order Height = Inside Window Height
- Recommended window frame depth: 2 inches
- Our factory will apply at least a 3/8" deduction from the total width. Please do not make any deductions on your end. This deduction applies to the headrail width, not the fabric width.
- lf the width has a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round it down to the nearest 1/8"
- No minimum depth requirement
- Ordered Width= Outside Headrail Width
- Please add 4 to 6 inches to the measured width of the sash to avoid light gaps
- For height, add 4 inches to the measurement
Width Fraction & Length Fraction
- When measuring your window, if the dimensions are not whole inches, the extra fraction should be expressed in eighths of an inch. Please refer to the image below for reference.
-
As shown in the image:
The measurement shown is 21 1/8“, then select “1/8” for Width eights/Height eights.
Similarly, if the measurement is in 1/16“ or 1/32” increments, round to the nearest 1/8”.

Edging bindings are decorative fabric trims that enhance the style and elegance of bamboo shades. They add a polished and refined look to the shades while protecting them from damage, extending their lifespan.
Edge Binding Width: 1.5 cm (approx. 0.6 inches).
We recommend adding edging for the Ramie Bamboo Collection in Ivory, Beige and Coconut, as the natural fibers of these fabrics can cause the edges to unravel over time.

Curtain Measurement Guide
How to Measure for Pleated Curtains
Getting the right measurements is essential for a perfect fit. Follow these simple steps:
Measure Your Width
Measure the width of your window or rod. For full coverage, multiply by 1.5 to 2 times for gathered curtains.
Measure Your Drop
Decide where you want your curtains to fall - windowsill, floor, or puddling on the floor.
Account for Header Style
Add extra length for your header style. Tab top curtains need additional length for the tabs.
Width Types Explained
Width of one curtain panel
Combined width of both panels
Pro Tip: Always measure twice to ensure accuracy. Round to the nearest inch for best results.
Common Measurement Mistakes to Avoid
- Not accounting for the curtain rod or track width
- Forgetting to measure at multiple points (width and drop can vary)
- Not considering the header style when measuring length
- Ordering curtains that are too narrow for adequate gathering
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need inside or outside mount?
Inside mount curtains fit within the window frame, while outside mount curtains hang from above or on the wall. Outside mount is more common for pleated curtains.
Should my curtains touch the floor?
This depends on your preference. Floor-length curtains create a clean, modern look. Slightly puddling curtains add a more relaxed, luxurious feel.
How wide should my curtains be?
For proper fullness, your total curtain width should be 1.5 to 2 times your window width. This ensures beautiful gathering when closed.

First home, first big girl window treatments, and I could not be happier. The wave fold makes my small bedroom windows look so much taller than they are.
Cutest shades ever. My sister already ordered a set.
I hemmed and hawed for weeks and compared these to the big box stores. Nothing came close for the price. The fabric has real weight to it, not that papery stuff. Install took maybe ten minutes per window.
Perfect warm oatmeal color, matches my beige girl era perfectly. Easy five stars.
Even though this custom Roman shade is super wide, installation was a breeze! Only regret is I meant to select multi-relaxed instead of single-relaxed for more folds-didn't double-check when ordering, and wish the factory had given me a quick heads-up.
Four windows, zero regrets. Took a star off because one shade showed up with a small pull in the fabric, but customer service shipped out a replacement crazy fast.
Halfway through a farmhouse refresh and these were the piece that tied the whole room together. The natural weave matches my wood tones beautifully and the light is soft, never harsh.
They look expensive. They were not. Win.
Bought these for my mom's living room and she hasn't stopped talking about them. She's 71 and famously hard to impress, so that's saying something.
We get brutal afternoon sun on that side of the house and these knock it right down without making the room feel dark. Already ordered two more for the guest room.
Obsessed. That's the review lol. My dining room went from builder-grade to actually cute.
